A new student center adds needed functionality for organizations and joins legacy buildings via dramatic connective volumes, sitting at the heart of this gothic campus. Materials, proportions, and details interpret the style to look towards the future, with spiritual touchpoints installed throughout to reflect Jesuit beliefs. Lighting accents these elements in a refined composition, highlights carved features, emphasizes stone textures, integrates fixtures, and creates a light beacon at the anchor tower. A variety of lighting techniques differentiate areas for gathering, eating, and study. Illumination inside and out balances energy, focus, calm, and comfort to create a sparkling presence on campus.
